Calibrating your DuraLabel Toro Max is quick and easy once you know what supply you're working with. In this fast walkthrough, we show you how to identify NFPA/RTK black mark vs notched and die-cut stock like Warning, Danger and Notice headers, load your material correctly, and run a proper calibration so your labels print clean every time when changing out continuous supply.
1. Load Appropriate Supply 0:00

Identify the correct supply type:

Black Mark Supply: Look for a pre-printed black stripe on the back.

Notched Supply: Look for notched cutouts between each label.

Open the lid of the printer.
-
Remove the currently loaded supply.
2. Install New Supply 0:39

Remove the spindle from the old supply and set it aside.

Load the new supply (e.g., warning tape) onto the spindle.

Position the supply so it is aligned with the platen roller.
3. Close the Lid and Initiate Calibration 1:00

Close the lid of the printer.

Wait for a message to appear in the lower right corner prompting calibration.
4. Confirm Calibration 1:07

Click 'Yes' when prompted to calibrate the supply.

Expect 1-2 labels to be ejected from the machine.
5. Alternative Calibration Method 1:21

If no message appears, tap the printer icon in the top right corner.

Access the settings and select the 'Calibrate Supply' button at the bottom.

Return to your label design and prepare to print.
