How to Unbox and Set Up DuraLabel Bronco Max Industrial Label Printer
Learn how to set up your DuraLabel Bronco Max Industrial Sign and Label Print System from start to finish in this step-by-step walkthrough. In this video, we’ll unbox the Bronco Max, review everything included with the printer, load the Premium Vinyl Supply and Premium Quick Load Ribbon Cartridge, connect the printer to a PC, install LabelForge PRO software, update printer settings, and print your first label using the Premade Sign Library inside LabelForge PRO.
Whether you’re setting up your Bronco Max for the first time or need a quick refresher, this guide will walk you through the full process so you can start creating durable, professional signs and labels with confidence.
1. Unbox the printer and verify contents 0:08
- Open the shipping box with a box knife by cutting the top and sides.
- Remove the quick start guide and set it aside for reference.
- Remove the printer and accessories from the box.
- Keep the original box and foam packaging for future shipping or returns.
- Place all accessories on a clean work surface for inventory and setup.
2. Review included accessories 1:48
- Confirm the package includes the following items:
- Quick start guide
- Power cord and AC adapter
- USB cable
- USB flash drive with LabelForge PRO, drivers, and user manual
- Notch supply spindle and supply wings
- Label scraper
- Cleaning swabs
- Use the quick start guide as a reference for setup and software installation.
3. Load Premium Vinyl Supply into the printer 3:04
- Lift the printer lid.
- Remove any QA prints from the supply well.
- Insert the supply spindle through the center of the vinyl supply roll.
- Place the roll into the supply well.
- Pull the vinyl forward and align it through the guides.
- Lock the supply in place using the two guides.
- Confirm the supply is seated correctly on the platen roller.
- Return the cutter to its normal position after loading.
4. Load the Premium Quick Load Ribbon Cartridge3:58
- Open the ribbon package and remove the top cover.
- Verify the smart tag sticker is facing inward toward the printer.
- Slide the ribbon into place and lock it securely.
- Close the printer lid once the ribbon is installed.
5. Connect the printer to power and the PC 4:28
- Connect the power supply to an outlet.
- Ensure the power connector arrow is facing up when plugging into the printer.
- Press the power button on the back right of the printer.
- Confirm the front light turns green.
- Connect the USB cable between the printer and the PC.
- Insert the provided USB drive into an available USB port on the PC.
6. Install LabelForge PRO from the USB drive 5:47
- Open File Explorer on the PC.
- Select the USB drive labeled LFPRO.
- Locate the LabelForge PRO setup file and double-click it.
- Review the license agreement prompt.
- Select Accept, then Next, then Install.
- When prompted to restart, choose Yes so system changes register correctly.
- Select Finish after installation completes.
- Launch LabelForge PRO from the taskbar or search bar.
7. Update printer settings in Windows 7:13
- Open Windows Settings.
- Navigate to Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select DuraLabel Bronco Max from the printer list.
- If the printer does not appear, restart the PC or the printer system.
- Open Printer properties.
- Go to the Security tab.
- Under Groups or user names, select EVERYONE.
- Under Permissions for Everyone, enable:
- Manage this printer
- Manage documents
- Click Apply, then OK.
8. Install the Bronco Max update in LabelForge PRO 8:03
- Return to LabelForge PRO.
- Select the printer icon in the software.
- Install the available update for the Bronco Max.
- Allow the printer to go offline briefly during the update.
- Restart the printer after the update completes.
- Confirm LabelForge PRO shows the current version after restart.
9. Create and print a test label 8:50
- Open the Premade Sign Library in LabelForge PRO.
- Use the search bar to search for Forklift.
- Select Caution Forklift Traffic Sign.
- Open the template.
- Leave the design unchanged if no edits are needed.
- Click the Print icon.
- In the printer category, select DuraLabel Bronco Max.
- Click Print to produce the label.
Cautionary Notes
- Keep the original box and foam packaging in case the printer must be shipped back.
- Make sure the vinyl supply is properly seated on the platen roller before closing the printer.
- Confirm the power connector is oriented correctly before plugging it in.
- If the Bronco Max does not appear in Windows printer settings, restart the PC or the printer.
- Change printer security permissions as instructed to avoid print access issues.
- Allow the printer update to complete fully before restarting or printing.
- Verify the correct printer is selected in LabelForge PRO before printing.
