How to Connect DuraLabel Bronco Max to a PC
Learn how to connect your Bronco Max Industrial Sign and Label Print System to a Windows PC. This tutorial walks through powering on the printer, connecting to your PC via the included USB Cord, installing LabelForge PRO, updating printer security settings, and printing your first label using the Premade Sign Library inside DuraLabel's LabelForge PRO Sign and Label Design Software.
1. Intro and Equipment Overview 0:17
- Collect the following items before starting:
- Bronco Max Industrial Sign and Label Print System
- Windows PC
- Power supply
- USB connection cable
- Provided USB drive containing the driver and LabelForge PRO installer
- Confirm the PC has an available USB port and that you have access to File Explorer and Windows settings.
2. Connect Power and Turn On the Printer 0:49
- Plug the Bronco Max power supply into a nearby outlet.
- Make sure the arrow on the connector is facing up when inserting it into the printer.
- Press the power button on the back right of the printer.
- Verify the front light turns green, indicating the printer is powered on.
3. Connect the Printer and USB Drive to the PC 1:13
- Connect the USB cable to the Bronco Max.
- Plug the printer network/USB cord into the port to the left of the power supply port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to the PC.
- Insert the provided USB drive into an available USB port on the PC.
4. Install LabelForge PRO from included USB Drive 1:39
- Open File Explorer on the PC.
- Locate the USB drive labeled LFPRO.
- Open the drive and double-click the LabelForge PRO setup file.
- When the User License Agreement appears:
- Review the agreement.
- Select Accept.
- Click Next.
- Click Install.
- If prompted to restart the computer, choose Yes so system changes load correctly.
- Click Finish after installation completes.
5. Launch LabelForge PRO 2:26
- Search for LabelForge PRO in the taskbar search bar.
- Open the application.
- If you plan to use it regularly, pin LabelForge PRO to the taskbar for faster access.
- Minimize the window so you can switch between the application and Windows settings.
6. Update Windows Printer Security Settings 3:04
- Open System Settings from the taskbar or search bar.
- Navigate to:
- Bluetooth & devices
- Printers & scanners
- Select DuraLabel Bronco Max.
- If the printer does not appear, restart the PC or the print system.
- Open Printer Properties.
- Go to the Security tab.
- Under Groups or User Names, select Everyone.
- Under Permissions for Everyone, ensure the following are checked in the Allow column:
- Manage this printer
- Manage documents
- Click Apply and then OK.
7. Install the Printer Update and Restart the Printer 3:55
- Return to LabelForge PRO after closing Windows settings.
- Select the printer icon in the application.
- If prompted, click Install Update for the Bronco Max.
- Wait while the printer goes offline briefly and the update installs.
- Restart the printer by pressing the power button off and then back on.
- Wait for the printer to fully power back on and confirm LabelForge PRO shows the current version.
8. Open a Premade Label Template 4:32
- In LabelForge PRO, open the Premade Sign Library.
- Use the search bar to search for Forklift.
- Select the Caution Forklift Traffic Sign template.
- Click Open.
- Leave the template unchanged if no edits are needed.
9. Print the Label 5:04
- Click the Print icon in LabelForge PRO.
- At the top of the print window, confirm DuraLabel Bronco Max is selected as the printer.
- Click Print.
- Verify the label prints successfully.
10. Complete Setup and Register the Printer 5:31
- Confirm the Bronco Max is powered on, connected, updated, and ready to print.
- Register the printer at DuraLabel.com/register.

Cautionary Notes
- Ensure the power connector is oriented correctly with the arrow facing up before plugging into the Bronco Max.
- If the Bronco Max does not appear under Printers & scanners, restart the PC or the printer before continuing.
- Printer security settings must allow Print, Manage this printer, and Manage documents for Everyone.
- The printer may go offline briefly during the update; this is normal.
- Restart the printer after installing the update to ensure LabelForge PRO recognizes the current version.
- Confirm the correct printer is selected before printing to avoid sending the job to the wrong device.
