Learn how to power on your DuraLabel Kodiak Max Industrial Sign & Label Print System, complete the system setup, connect to Wi-Fi, check for updates, and launch LabelForge PRO. This walkthrough covers connecting the power cord, turning on the printer, using the wireless keyboard, selecting language and keyboard settings, and joining a wireless network.
1. Gather the power cord and prepare the printer 0:10
- Retrieve the power cord from the accessories bag inside the packaging.
- Locate a nearby electrical outlet before connecting the printer.
- Confirm the printer is positioned safely and can reach both the outlet and the rear power socket.
2. Connect power to the Kodiak Max and turn it on 0:21
- Plug one end of the power cord into the wall outlet.
- Insert the other end into the power socket on the back of the Kodiak Max.
- Flip the power switch located to the right of the power socket.
- Verify the green indicator light turns on, confirming the system is powered up.
3. Access the setup screen and prepare the keyboard 0:38
- Wait for the software and setup screen to load.
- Retrieve the wireless keyboard from the interior lid of the Kodiak Max.
- Use the keyboard as a touchpad/mouse to navigate the 9-inch touchscreen.
- Ensure the keyboard is powered on and ready for use.
4. Select the operating language and keyboard layout 1:11
- On the setup screen, choose the language you will use for operation.
- Select the matching keyboard layout (the video uses English as the example).
- Confirm the keyboard is connected and responsive.
- Click Next to continue.
5. Connect the system to a wireless network 1:41
- Follow the on-screen prompts to select and connect to your wireless network.
- Enter the required Wi‑Fi credentials if prompted.
- Confirm the system shows a successful connection.
- Click Next in the bottom-right corner to proceed.
6. Review and complete the system update 2:01
- Review the system update screen.
- If the system is already up to date, proceed to the next step.
- If an update is required, complete the update directly on the screen before continuing.
- After the update check is complete, select Finish.
7. Open LabelForge PRO and confirm setup is complete 2:23
- Allow the system to launch into LabelForge PRO.
- Confirm you have reached the LabelForge PRO home screen.
- Verify the Kodiak Max is fully set up and connected to Wi‑Fi.
- The printer is now ready for label design and printing.
Cautionary Notes
- Ensure the power cord is fully seated in both the outlet and the printer before turning the system on.
- Do not proceed with label work until the system update step is complete.
- Use the correct language and keyboard layout for your region or operating environment.
