Label Designer Basic Overview | LabelForge PRO

In this LabelForge PRO tutorial, we walk you through the basics of using the Label Designer module to create a forklift traffic sign.
The video covers step-by-step instructions—from selecting label size and adding shapes, to customizing text with bold fonts, adjusting object alignment, and inserting forklift symbols. You'll learn how to format headers, match OSHA-style designs, and properly align and group elements for a clean, professional look. 1. Open Label Designer 0:01

Launch the LabelForge PRO program.

Click on 'Label Designer' in the top left corner.
2. Select Label Size 0:23

Choose the label size (default is 4x6).

Click 'Create New Label'.
3. Create Header Shape 0:39

Click on the 'Shape' option to create a square.

Adjust the object size to:

Length: 5.7 inches
-
Width: 1.25 inches
-

Center the shape and adjust the Y-axis to 0.15.
4. Change Shape Color 1:31

Select the square shape.

Open the color palette and set the fill color to black.
5. Add Caution Text 2:14

Click on the 'ABC Text' option to create a text line.

Double-click to edit the text and type 'Caution'.

Change the font to 'Heebo Black' and size to 72 points.

Center the text and adjust the length to 5 inches.
6. Change Text Color and Position 3:38

Change the text color to yellow.

Move the text to center it vertically within the header.
7. Add Forklift Traffic Text 4:14

Use 'ABC Text' again to add 'Forklift' and 'Traffic' on separate lines.

Set the font to 'Heebo Black' and size to 48 points.

Align the text to the left and adjust the length to 3.5 inches.
8. Insert Forklift Symbol 5:29

Click on the 'Symbols' option and search for 'Forklift'.

Select the desired forklift symbol and click 'Insert'.

Adjust the orientation to have the forks pointing left.
9. Resize and Align Elements 6:12

Lock the aspect ratio and resize the forklift symbol to match text size.

Select both 'Forklift Traffic' text and the symbol, then use the align option to center them together.
10. Group and Final Adjustments 7:09

Group the text and symbol together.

Adjust spacing to ensure no elements are too close to the edges.

Select the Toro Max printer and hit 'Print'.
