Pipe Marking Module | LabelForge PRO

We provide an overview of the Pipe Marking Module in LabelForge PRO, walking through the process of creating a Water Pipe Marking label by adding directional arrows, entering text, and selecting the correct pipe size. The walkthrough shows how the module automatically adjusts label sizing and how to apply ANSI-compliant colors, such as green for water pipes. It concludes with tips for vertical pipe labeling and pipe wrap settings too.
1. Access the Pipe Marking Module in LabelForge PRO 0:00
- Open the Pipe Marking module by clicking on 'Pipe Marking' on the left side of the interface.
- When prompted, select the 'General Pipe Marking' ANSI/ASME A13.1 submodule and click 'OK'.
2. Add Arrows to the Label 0:30
-
Click on the 'No Arrow' option on the right side to add an arrow facing right.
-
To add an arrow facing left side or right side, either select it from the left side menu in 'Pipe Legend" or click 'Apply to Both' if still in the arrow selection area.
3. Input Pipe Text 1:00
-
In the text section, type 'Water' to indicate the type of pipe.
-
Adjust the text height if necessary, but we will change the pipe size later that will auto-resize the text.
4. Select Font Style 1:15
-
Choose the desired font from the drop-down menu. For this SOP, we will use 'Air Toro'.
5. Configure Label Size and Formatting 1:40
-
Click the 'X' in the arrows section to access label size and formatting options.
6. Set Pipe Diameter 1:51
-
From the drop-down selection, choose '2.5 to 6-inch' for a 3-inch pipe. This will auto-resize the height and width of the text as previous mentioned in Step 3.
7. Adjust Label Color 2:09
-
Click on the color option and select 'Green' to comply with ANSI standards.
8. Additional Formatting Options 2:25
-
Consider using 'Portrait' for vertical pipes or 'Pipe Wrap' if applicable. Ensure the supply width matches the pipe wrap sizing requirements.
Cautionary Notes
-
Ensure that the selected colors and text comply with ANSI standards for safety and clarity.
-
Double-check the pipe diameter selection to avoid mislabeling.
- Make sure to match up color with Pipe Marking Color Guide.
Tips for Efficiency
-
Familiarize yourself with the module interface to speed up the labeling process.
-
